Capstone Project
The mission of Smart Money is to help SMC students achieve financial literacy and independence. With this six-week program, we will cover all aspects of personal finance, including Investing, Saving, Banking, and Budgeting.
Week 1
Official Launch/ Info tabling
This week will be the official launch of the project. There will be an info table and registration opens.
Week 2
Budgeting
This week we will be covering budgeting and there will be resources available.
Week 3
Banking - Savings/Checking
This week we will be covering Banking including checking and savings accounts and there will be resources available.
Week 4
Investing
This week we will be covering investing. This will include how to invest and highlighting different resources that are available.
Week 5
Tax Clinic
This week we will be holding a free tax clinic. There will be a limited number of slots, so please sign up in advance.
Week 6
Financial Topics
This week we will be covering financial topics that specifically impact college students along with the opportunity to learn more about topics you are interested in.
